This Rolex watch was first designed in 1956 as a solution for engineers and scientists. The watch can withstand magnetic fields of up to 1000 gauss — hence the name 'mille' which translates to one thousand in French. The Milgauss M116400GV-0001 for men is the one we have here. It's cast in oystersteel, and the dial is presented in black, aided wonderfully by the green scratchproof sapphire crystal and luminescent markers. The watch is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement with a paramagnetic protection system.
