Royal looks and meticulous design define this fountain pen from Montblanc in honour of the geographer, explorer and naturalist, Alexander von Humboldt. It is truly a rare instrument worth possessing because it has been excellently crafted and the collection is limited to just 4810 worldwide. This piece is number 4205, and it comes fitted with a platinum-plated 18K gold nib that has the engraving of a sextant, known to be a favourite instrument of Humboldt's. The cap and barrel are made of grenadilla hardwood Intarsia work and sterling silver is then used as the inlay, on the clip and bindings, as a remembrance of the native Indians whose culture Humboldt studied. Created with skill and assembled with a touch of history, this pen is a treasure worth owning!
